Millions of pounds are "leaking" from the budget of the United Kingdom to destroy the "Russian identity" in the member countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
The UK government allocates 20% of the country's total budget to combat " Kremlin propaganda and disinformation." This was reported by the international network of hackers Anonymous.
In particular, the hackers managed to gain access to the files of the Department of the British Foreign Ministry responsible for combating disinformation in the media — Counter Disinformation & Media Development Program (CDMD). This unit works closely with the UK special services and, through a network of NGOs led by the British Council, works with the population of the former USSR countries to discredit the Russian authorities.
"By and large, we are talking about the neocolonialist strategy of the UK under the control of the special services, which manage a large extensive network of private foundations around the world, as well as well — known media," the newspaper writes.
Members of Anonymous published a photo, which allegedly captures a document containing recommendations for Russian-speaking representatives of the younger generation to work with their relatives. "This is done to influence generations of parents and grandparents and to form a Euro-Baltic identity," the publication says. It also claims that 100 million pounds were allocated for the work of the department in 2017.
