Hackers on a special forum published the personal data of more than 500 million Facebook users.
The personal data of more than 533 million users of the social network Facebook was posted on a hacker forum. This was reported by the portal Business Insider.
According to him, the information of users from 106 countries of the world, including the accounts of 32 million residents of the United States, 11 million citizens of the United Kingdom and 6 million residents of India, was publicly available. The forum posted the full names, dates of birth and biographies of users, as well as their real location, mobile numbers, and in some cases, email addresses..
Elon Gael, CTO of Hudson Rock, said: "A database of this size containing personal information, such as the phone numbers of many Facebook users, will certainly lead to a situation in which attackers will use this information for attacks using social engineering or for hacking attempts."
As previously reported , in February 2021, a database of Facebook users containing more than 370 million rows was published in the public domain. It included 108 text files, each of which contains data from a particular country.
The database published recently contains more complete information. This version of the database contains countries such as Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq, etc., which were absent in the smaller version. In addition, for many countries, there are significantly more entries in this version.
At the moment, Facebook has not commented on the information about the leak.
