Russian law enforcement officers detained a trader of personal data of Russians. This is reported by TASS with reference to a source in law enforcement agencies.

Law enforcement officers, as well as specialists in the field of computer security, identified Alen Fedorov, who, according to the investigation, was engaged in the sale of personal personal data of Russians: copies of their passports, bank statements and other documents of the victims.

He was charged with committing a crime under part 4 of Article 272 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Unlawful access to computer information that caused major damage, committed by an organized group and created a threat of serious consequences").

If the guilt of Fedorov is proved, he faces up to seven years in prison. The man agreed with the charges and has already made a confession.
