The criminals have published a list of organizations that they do not intend to attack, including hospitals, schools, small businesses, etc.

The operators of the ransomware Babyk (also known as Babuk) have created their own data leak site to publish the stolen data of victims as part of a double-extortion strategy. The criminals also published a list of companies and organizations that they will not attack, with some exceptions.

As reported by Bleeping Computer, the data leak site has a list of organizations that criminals do not intend to attack, including hospitals, non-profit organizations, schools and small businesses.

For each of these categories, the grouping specified the following exceptions:

Hospitals: private plastic surgery clinics, private dental clinics;

Non-profit organizations: Any non-profit charitable foundation that helps LGBT and BLM movements;

Schools: major universities;

Small businesses: companies with annual revenue of less than $4 million.

SecurityLab has previously written about similar cases where ransomware operators reported stopping attacks on "socially important" services, shelters, nursing homes, and certain medical organizations.
